The project topic is the Israeli local culture and environment. Multicultural

music instrument.

I have researched the Jewish and Arabic cultures that are effecting and inspiring each other. I have examined the religious 

characteristics from a non-religious aspect, choose to design a musical instrument that combines the 2 cultures while preserving the aesthetically characteristics of both. I was inspired by the violin, an instrument born from the Arabic Rabab that later became related to both the Jewish and the Arabic cultures. The design is based on traditional and practical art, made of metal, richness, and decoration in a contemporary 

minimalist look.
